The e-Go is the most efficient production electric car ever built with a range of up to 200 miles because of its lightweight carbon fiber body and aluminum alloy frame. Efficiency is comparable to 150 miles per gallon energy equivalent.


The crash tests are being conducted according to European, Japanese and Chinese crash test standards. A file of the actual moving sequence of an e-Go car in a frontal crash test at 35 miles per hour in slow motion reveals that the vehicle substantially returned to its original shape after the test.

A photograph of the front of the vehicle shows minimal damage after the test. A more complete report on the crash tests will be announced in a future press release.

The acceleration of the Ibis for the standard model version is approximately in the 8.5 second range from 0-60 mph which is comparable to most other gasoline operated automobiles. Several options including a more powerful motor and controller, can increase the acceleration from approximately 8.5 seconds to approximately a 5-6 second range.

NOTE 2: The standard version of the Ibis will have a very powerful 72 kWh battery pack. The Ibis will also be offered with a larger battery pack and/or range extender. The range extender option which will increase the range of the Ibis to well over 700 km per charge.

NOTE 3: The battery pack comes with a 10-year warranty or 150,000 miles.

NOTE 4: The cost of the Ibis is estimated to be $69,500 USD before Federal Rebates ($7,500 USD) and State Rebates (such as those available in California up to $5,500 USD).
